Adult Tennis

The Bainbridge Island Recreation Center has four indoor full-size USTA tennis courts for open-court use, league, and ladder match play. Youth and adult classes, as well as group and private lessons, are available.

Whether you are new to tennis or have been playing the game for years, our professional tennis staff can guide you to get the most out of your game.

  • If you want to improve your tennis game with a skills and drills class, join a group or private lesson. We have a professional staff that is knowledgeable and excited to help you improve your game.
  • If you are interested in competitive play, we have USTA League TeamsCups (competitive ladies’ teams that play matches during the school year), and an active singles ladder.
  • If you are a recreational player, we have four beautiful indoor courts for our Tennis Monthly Users to enjoy.

Leagues and Ladders Play

The Bainbridge Island Recreation Center has a variety of leagues to choose from, starting with our Saturday Men’s League, the SACT League (a weekday women’s doubles league), and USTA Teams. Please get in touch with daynag@biparks.org for more information.

COMPETITIVE LEAGUE PLAY

SEATTLE AREA CUP TENNIS

This women’s daytime league allows our players the opportunity to compete with the Seattle area club players at each respective level.  Levels range from 2.5 to 4.5 so don’t be shy!  There are some time commitments so check in with our Tennis Director for more information.  Signup deadline is May of every year.  The season runs from September – February every year.  For inquiries, email daynag@biparks.org

 USTA LEAGUES (United States Tennis Association)

We have teams forming every season.  Daytime or Weekend Leagues available.  All levels.  Contact the Tennis Office for more information.  For inquiries, email daynag@biparks.org

SOCIAL PLAY

MEN’S DOUBLES LEAGUE                  3.0-4.5

Men’s Doubles League is a time for all the men to have some fun, light-hearted competition and is also a great way to meet people. Coordinated by the BIRC Tennis Coordinator, teams will be set up weekly based on a combination of everyone’s availability and results from the previous week. Tennis balls will be provided by BIRC. Members $30 / Non-Tennis Members $80 for 10 weeks of organized play.

401 CLINIC

TENNIS 101

For the beginning to advanced beginning tennis players. This 4-week clinic will give you a foundation to work from. We recommend that you continue this clinic until the teaching pro advises you otherwise and directs you to the Tennis Coordinator for more options. Sign up at www.biparks.org.
