In 2021, the Bainbridge Island Metro Park & Recreation District acquired the Bainbridge Island Recreation Center. Consistent with its early years, the Park District today continues in its dedicated commitment to serve the island by providing parks and recreation that enhance lives and contributes to the enjoyment of life.
The facility includes more than 53,000 square feet of recreation opportunities. Our facility has multi-use fitness rooms, fitness areas for cardio and weight lifting, a Pilates studio, and a gymnasium equipped for basketball and racquet sports. BIRC also offers personal training, small group training programs, and a wide variety of complimentary group exercise classes for members.
Our racquet sports accommodations provide a place to play rain or shine, not to mention connect with players of all skill levels. BIRC offers four indoor tennis courts for lessons, clinics, and league and ladder play, as well as an indoor gym space that is adaptable for pickleball use.
During the summer months, cool off in our 23-yard pool with three lap lanes, open recreational space, walk-in entry stairs, and an ADA chair lift.
Don’t worry – we also got the kiddos covered. Kids Club provides on-site child watch for children, and our BIRC kids camps and programs are available for various ages and interests.
BIRC offers incredibly affordable memberships for individuals and families to meet your needs for fun and fitness. Commit to your fitness journey with monthly memberships, or keep it flexible with our non-monthly options.
